Let the Power Flow

You have prayed but where is the result? You exercised your spiritual authority but where is the result? You laid hands on the sick but no recovery even worse you yourself are smitten by sickness.

Why? These things ought not be so.

Jesus prayed and received result. He laid hands on the sick and diseases moved. He spoke and it came to pass. He told us, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." - John 14:12

This has been my own heartfelt question I pose to God continually because I personally hate with absolute passion Religion (Anything done with no understanding; usually public show).

There should/must be a difference between those that serve God and those that don't. Mal 3:18

The above mentioned question puzzled Jesus disciples at the time  including myself and many Christians today. Why can't we do what we see or hear you do? Where is the power? Why could we not cast out that demon?

Jesus unequivocal answer to his disciples then and us today is, "...because of Unbelief (Matt 17:20)"

Many of us, if we are truthful to ourselves are walking in pure unbelief which many a times we mistake as Faith.

Matt 11:6 tells us that God is not pleased or moved outside of faith. In order words you can cry all you want, without Faith God cant be moved. Jesus said, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
Faith is the conviction of the existence of an unseen God who rewards those that diligently seek him out. Assurance of things we do not see. Conviction leaves no room for doubt. If you know and are convinced that your car is white, no one can tell you otherwise even when you just woke from sleep.

James 1:6-7 lets us know that the person who Doubts/fears should not expect to receive ANYTHING from the Lord. This is very serious. God can not negotiate out of his own word no matter how much he loves you. This is what makes him sovereign and almighty.

Hmm... Doubt doubt doubt!!!

So what is the cure for this evil Doubt and his brother Fear? How do we get rid of it

Faith in God or God kind of faith is the Antidote of doubt/fear. It is the ONLY medication which cures doubt/fear.

This is why Paul said in Roman 1:16 that He is not ashamed of the gospel. The gospel of Christ is Gods ONLY power on earth to save any man who will believe and have Faith. This is why the gospel must be preached to the end of the earth. The words of the gospel are vehicle/carrier/capsules of Faith. And this Faith is the victory that overcomes the World (1 John 5:4)

How do I lay my hands on this medicine that can cure doubt/fear so I can live and witness the power that Christ worked with?

Roman 10:17 tells us that this Medicine(Faith) comes through hearing the words(Rhema) of Christ.

Observe the continuous tense "hearing..." Used above instead of "heard". It is a continual thing as opposed to one time action.  You must be eating everyday, continually anew and fresh. Manner in the wilderness was to be eaten fresh. No left overs!

Christ is alive in us today by his Holy Spirit. As we spend precious time continually in fellowship with Him and His word, He speaks anointed words to our ears which in turn deposits faith to our spirit. As faith comes, Fear and doubt check out. Faith and fear cannot co-inhabit. It's either one or the other.

Joshua 1:8 now is not a suggestion or recommendation to us but rather a command from God to us all who will live Powerfully and Faithfully for him.

My prayer to God today for me and you then is for his mighty hand to keep us from wandering away from his words or commandments. To keep us away from useless activities, distractions and cares of this world that benefit us not so we can just as Mary chose to remain at your feet(presence) and have you pour into our spirits living water curing us from every doubt and unbelief so we can witness and partake of the glory and power which Christ brought.
